Electricity generation capacity in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) has grown by leaps and bounds in the last decade. While residents of the KRI could only make use of 2 hours of electricity per day in 2007, power supply has now reached 17 hours 8 minutes per day. Generating capacity has been expanded from 482 megawatts in 2007 to around 6,737 megawatts as of November 2019.
